-'s breaks have been eaten up by TRG with campus and mall tours aka job fairs...
-started smoking....like a chimney
-lost 10 pounds...

yeah, like i said yesterday, it's gonna take one hell of a guy to win my heart...i barely have time for myself, with ebay, TRG (curses!), studies and family QT, asa pa na magkakaroon ako ng boyfriend. dates, yeah...but a serious long-term thing? hay..ewan. i think i just dont know HOW to fall in love. i find too many faults. my standards are too high. i dunno...
i suddenly remembered the oreo days, when thigns were so easy and crushing on someone was fun.
i miss my freshie year. :)

this was probably the most eventful birthday of my life. sorry i have't updated in so long. tinatamad na ako e! but this ...has to be archived into my memory lane. haha.
july 12, 2006...claire turns 19!!! :)
12:00 mn- pal and i head to starbucks ash creek from his the fort where we had an amaaazing persian dinner and cold rock desert at the fort with his dad. :) tapos chillax sa starbucks...it's this time when we have our deep nosebleed conversations. :P
12:30 am- gets a bday call from gary
12:45 am - made it home just in time to see gary with his gift and flowers at my doorstep. OMG. we hug, i thank him and he leaves :) *happeeee*
2:30 am- pal arrives at my doorstep with SNR pepperoni pizza, his kongkong and ama's gift for me (awwww. <3) and his laptop. (ano to?? surprise the hell out of claire night? :O) he couldn't sleep so we just stayed up and talked... :)
4:00 am- pal goes home while i fall asleep on the couch with a bloated tummy
8:00 am- i wake up, order a bilao of palabok and take a shower
9:00 am- SPECA GA...walked into a classroomfull of people i love (my UP family <3 singing hapy birthday)
11:00 am- palabok time! treated all the specers to a simple lunch after the GA :)
12:00 nn- met up with my best friend alibee and got her AMAZING present. this hot top from freeway. i love it gurly. thanks super.
1:00 pm- gary came over and we talked a bit sa AS steps. <3 he had class ng 2pm so mabilis lang :c
1:30 pm- ali and i have lunch at casaa :)
3:00 pm- classes were cancelled so i went home and hibernated
6:00 pm- cellphone wakes me out of my sloth state. pal invites me to watch pirates..his treat! :)
7:00 pm- we arrive at theatre mall and choose the 9pm screening over the 8pm one so i can go home late *bwahahaha*
7:30 pm- ice cream + yosi at mcdo :) we just sat outside while raindrops fell and the people scurried around. for that hour, time stopped and there was only peace.
8:30 pm- ran into parokya ni edgar's chito and kaye abad. took a piic with them *grinks*
9:00 pm- pirates time! awesome movie!
11:00 pm- pal goes home (to my house) and we watch dvd's till we fall asleep :)
bad endng though. i woke up to my dad's wrath. his daughter + blonde punk + one bed = utter chaos. oh sure, ignore the fact that we were fully clothed (with socks!) and a foot apart and that we're more of brother-sister than best friends. i voluntarily locked myself up in my room the whole day. i'm so hungry. oh yeah, gary dropped by a while ago to give me a beanie pillow to make me feel better <3 aww. and i haven't heard from pal. :(
what a way to start my 19th year. :D
thanks to all those who greeted me btw! i'm really touched. each and everyone of you made me feel loved. :D thanks for remembering.

this really really really sucks. i'm so confused with what i feel, whether it's romantic love, sisterly love, intense friendship...or just...extreme dependence. god, i have to stop this insanity and just flush him out of my system... when i was a kid, i vowed that i would never get into a relationship with someone whom i love more than he loves me, but now i think i'd settle for just about anything.
*sigh*

the line at env sci could have initiated a wowowee stampede episode II. kapag may "take a number" scheme, i was number 72 siguro when i arrived (11am) and by the time i starved myself half to death to fall in line for 2 hours (and made jolly good new friends who gladly bitched about the UP reg system with me), i was more or less number 20. and then my good friend hopia arrives! of course, we wanted to be classmates. but he arrived at around 2pm, and was probably number 80 at that time.
so!! i figured i had three options:
1.) risk the physical injury born from the wrath of those who are in line behind me and sneak him in front of me (why couldn't he have been 4'11??? tangkad tangkad!!! hirap tuloy isingit!)
2.) sacrifice my hunger strike and go back to the end of the line with him (hellooooo whatevah)
3.) just let everything be as they are and be a nice, behaved girl. (AKO?! AS IF! HAHAHAHA!)
bad options, right?
and so i had a BRILLIANT idea!
i decided to grab his form 5a and enlist for him. that way, he's sneaking in front of me, but nobody really knows *beam*

ooookay. seeing myself on TV wasn't as fun as i thought! while my family laughed and cheered and my phone started beeping nonstop, i was hiding under the throw pillows of our couch in sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeer embarrassment. wala lang. weird lang!!! :P at least i didn't look 10 pounds bigger, like the camera people said. :)
finally got around to watching da vinci code with delby and his infamous barkada. it was also good to finally meet fabia and berto, whom i've heard so much about (and vice versa...i only wish the things delby told them were TRUE haha). it was fun! ang sarap ng feeling when you "click" with people. :)
oohh the swimming/drinking/pigging out post-birthday party at candisa's house was chillaxing at its finest. :) THANKS GIRL! i was just about to text u after i got home when i realized WALA PALA AKONG PHONE! hahaha! pero thanks tlga ah. i think it's safe to speak for everyone when i say we all had a blast. lalo na sa pool! my newfound love: salababidas. LOL!
after that, delby and i hit carl king's party as esQuinita bar...OH MY GOD. since i was tipsy already when i arrived, the free-flowing bar did nothing good to my consciousness and sanity. the last thing i remembered was being locked up in the make-out room with some stupid MINOR and both of us desperately banging the door so we could get out. make out room. tsss. more like torture-chamber. >< aaanyway. i didnt remember anything after that when i woke up. waiit. i do! i remember na delby begrudgingly walked me home. :) that boy can be nice when he forces himself to. :) funny thing is, dale was there that night but since he was phoneless and carless, we never got to meet up. delby was like calling him 10 billion times until the whizkid (note the sarcasm) realized the next day, nung pudpod na kamay nya, that dale's phone wasn't with him pala. lesson learned? it's good to get intoxicated once in a while. by that i mean once a month or less. i can't believe how the teens who do this everyday or every week can stand it. basta, this isn't the kind of lifestyle i wanna have...
the other day, i hung out with terry blueberry and alilingtot at terry's house. it was so great to catch up with one of my oldest friends. i also found out that she's got a boyfriend!!! i'm so happy for her! :) she's blooming and blushing and really happy. :) i can't wait to meet the mystery man! haha!
of course, i can't help feeling.....................huhuhu naiiwanan na tlga ako ng mundo. i know all that talk about love being overrated, but it just sounds so...exciting! and i wanna feel that excitement too, you know? most of my guy-friends are so comfortable around me, i won't be surprised if they picked their nose or scartched their butt. this "claire, you're so much fun to hang out with, you're like one of the boys" thing is cool - i'm not denying that, but i've realized that being treated like a girl is way better. diba?

since joining the TRG speech contest, life has been crazy, fun, hectic and UNBELIEVABLE!. grabeee. i was jumping with joy when i got my callback! and when i found out that the whole thing was gonna be covered by QTV, i almost fainted. partly because of joy and partly because the camera adds 10 pounds. :)) and then the tapings began...
DAY 1
call time: 8 am
meet-up venue: TRG Ortigas
shoot location: Fernwood Gardens
crazy would be the only way to describe it. we rode our MAJIKA van to fernwood and the make-up artist ate lolit was already waiting for us. cool! i was thinking, may make-up artist na magmmake up samin! and then we had the challenges...secret na yun. panuorin nyo nalang! hehe. grabe. we were taping from 1pm to 1am. and that place was like a greenhouse...enclosed sya kaya SOBRANG init. sweat was dripping everywhere as my lips formed a permanent, pasted smile in my face. feeling ko nga kinalawang na yung lapel mic. the eliminations were depressing...first, we were lined up...tapos the hosts would hand us these "passports" and pag may stamp na "accept", we were in...pag "denied", out. itwas so dramatic! may paper shredder, and when you're out, u have to shred this paper with ur name on it. masama pa dun, televised lahat kaya u gotta have ur semi-permanent, pasted, fake smile on while you say goodbye to your stardom dreams. tapos yung second elimination mas dramatic pa! kinuha mga cellphones namin tapos those who got the "congrats" call stayed in the game. once again, the paper shredder was there. na-feel ko ang reality show ambience kasi aside from the cameras shooting our every move, may magtatanong after every segment "o ano ang pakiramdam mo?" or "o kamusta naman ang challenge?" tsk tsk! it felt so odd. we wrapped up ng 1 am, and i got home at 2am. kamusta naman, may chem exam ako ng 9am (dapat 10am but i moved it kasi call time namin the next day was 11am)! kaya hindi na ako natulog. after a quick shower, i studied for the exam till 7am and by 8, i was on my way to UP. grabe! kakaloka ang "buhay artista" + studyante! after the exam, it was...

Yes dears, we were taping ina PUBLIC PLACE with our billboard-size name tags, and 6 cameras following us. kung ano yung task, secret ulit! MANUOD KAYO! this was really really hilarious. nakakahiya to the nth level, pero sobrang FUNNNN. :) ayun, after the task, elimination ulit. :( the GMA director is really scary! i call him "kuya direk sir " and it cracks him up. every time he shouts "CUT!!!", iniisip ko na na ako yung may kasalanan. and complicated kasi ng blocking and projection. anyway..i had to say goodbye to 2 of my closest friends sa group...hay. it was so hard! we were down to 10 grad finalists who were going to compete in the grand finals on may 3 at the world trade center. but before anything...challenge ulit! we shot the TRG COMMERCIAL!!! that was fun. =) grabe. this time, we got to work with direk RS, the guy who shoots shampoo and Sharon Cuneta commericals and directs for talk shows. he was really cool! not as scary as the show director. nagulat lang ako, a 30-second commercial took 12 HOURS TO SHOOT. EXAJ. yun lang...so far, sobrang draining pero ang saya tlga. =)

the speech contest finals will be held there. i'd really appreciate it if you could come and "support" me. lalo chi comm pleeeaaase! :)
another thing, the show will air on QTV channel 11, 8pm on may 21 and 28. pls watch if u can...promise it's gonna be ENTERTAINING (read: nakakatawa)! haha! =)
